How does the ThermoSeeker help Emergency Responders?

The ThermoSeeker helps emergency responders in the sense that after an earthquake, it helps find survivors trapped under debris.

How does the ThermoSeeker work?

The ThermoSeeker will use TRPA1, a chemical that musquitos use to detect heat, in order to detect people buried beneath rubble

Parts and Functions of the ThermoSeeker

  1. The hande: allows the user of the ThermoSeeker to hold the ThermoSeeker firmly
  2. The shaft: connects the handle to the monitor of the ThermoSeeker
  3. The monitor: shows the user where heat is so that the user can discern where a person trapped beneath rubble is located
  4. Heat detecting antennas: Antennas inspired by the ones musquitos have. The antennas use the same chemical which musquitos use (TRPA1) in order to accurately and quickly determine where a person is beneath rubble.
